The Dynasty Hardware 8500 series aluminum door closer is non-handed for regular arm, top-jamb or parallel arm installation. The Dynasty Hardware 8500 hold open door closer is an excellent quality closer This door closer is a barrier free closer designed to comply with the Americans with disabilities act (ADA) and to encompass all levels of ANSI classification, grades 1, 2 and 3 as well as UL requirements.

Uses same hole pattern as Norton 8501 and 8301 door closer making it a perfect replacement.

Non-sized door closer can be set size 1 thru 6. (Comes preset to size 3 from the factory)

This Hydraulic door closer comes standard with a back-check function and offers adjustable closing and latching speed by two separate regulating valves.

Tri-packed with wood screws, metal screws and thru bolts for fire rated doors.

This door closer is adjustable from size 1 thru 6 to fit doors from 40 pounds up to 240 pounds.

8500 Series Door Closer Hold Open Arm

They Dynasty Hardware 8500 Series Door Closer can be mounted regular arm, parallel arm or top jamb. Each door closer includes a parallel arm bracket and all fasteners required for installation.

The friction style hold open arm on the 8500 series door closer allows the door to be held open at between 90 and 180 degrees. The hold open can be easily released by simply pulling the door shut.

8500 Series Screw Hole Spacing

The Dynasty 8500 Series Hold Open Door Closer screw hole spacing is 12 inches center to center for the horizontal mounting holes and 3/4 inch center to center for the vertical screw holes.

Direct replacement for Norton 8301-H and 8501-H door closers.

Direct replacement for Yale 3301 and 3501 door closers.

Adjustable Sweep and Latch Valves

The Dynasty Hardware 8500 Series Door Closer features two adjustment valves. One valve adjusts the closing speed and the other valve is used to adjust the latching speed. The allen wrench for adjusting the door closer is included.

Adjustable Back Check

The Dynasty Hardware 8500 series door closer offers an adjustable back check valve. The back check adjustment controls the amount of resistance to opening the door past a selected point. This feature controls how far the door can be opened to protect walls. Back check is used to slow the door down if someone throws the door open, or if the wind were to catch the door, and blow it open. Back check is used to slow the door down, not to stop the door.
